Literature Text

Name: Alec Hardings
Gender: Male
Age: 32

~Appearance~
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 180 lbs
Build/Body type: Muscular, as he works out a lot. He is tall.
Skin: He has a tan skin, as a result of a Greek heritage on his mother's side.
Hair: Alec has black hair, kept somewhat shaggy.
Eyes: Blue. Ice blue.
Facial Details: Strong jaw. High cheekbones.
Clothing: He has, at his time of introduction to the book, jeans and a nice polo on.

~Personality~
Loves: Hazel. Art. A good sense of humor. Control.
Hates: Himself, to some degree, for imprisoning Hazel. But not much else, at the moment. He's more scared that his world is unwriting itself.
Strengths: Physically, he's pretty well off, as he exercises regularly and keeps himself fit. Mentally, he's not the brightest bulb in the bucket, but he can get things done, and is pretty good at being in charge.
Weaknesses: He's pretty laid back, for the most part, unless someone gets under his skin, or challenges his authority where he thinks he has it.

~Background Details~
Friends: Disappeared, as his world has been unwriting its self.
Backstory: So the artist came from a well to do family, and went to a nice college, and took several business courses to try to help himself make it as an artist. He found a job at a design firm, and made a nice paycheck as one of their artists.

He met the woman of his dreams in Hazel Maddon. She was brilliant, she was creative, she was attractive, she had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved her, and he asked her to marry him.

At which point everything went downhill.

So she told him she was a muse, and couldn't bear children, and lived forever, and something happened that he couldn't quite explain, even after his story began.

The easy way to go about it would to be that he snapped.

What really happened was that part of his character unwrit its self, and he lost control, imprisoned his girlfriend for three years, until she escaped into the Book.

There were times over the three years where he came back, partially, and attempted to right his wrong. But these periods of lucidity were brief, at best.

And when he finally found Hazel to be missing, he found the Book. And because of his proximity to the book, he found the lost puzzle piece the connected his character again, and he was fully himself again, realizing the mistakes of the past three years.

And so he enters the book, and his story begins.

Do you want to kill my character?

Go right on ahead. I don't really care if you kill him. It's an OCT for the Books's sake. Characters die all the time in OCTs. I wouldn't be entering this character in an OCT period if I would be terribly upset about his death.

So go right on ahead and kill my character if you want to.
If you need another written statement I can message the judges for you.
Image coming.

This is Alec Hardings, my character for :icontbos-oct:

He appears at the end of round 1.

Thank you.
